TV 7 Jours

TV 7 Jours is a French language TV listings magazine similar to TV Guide. TV 7 Jours began publication on February 8, 1992 as a competitor to the well established French TV Listings magazine TV Hebdo. By 1996, the editorial content in TV 7 Jours was identical to TV Hebdo. This magazine was still in publication as of 2013. Unlike TV Hebdo, this magazine was a complimentary TV listings magazine sold with the popular 7 Jours magazine. Until approx 1995-1996, this magazine had it's own editorial content. By 1996 both TV Hebdo and TV 7 Jours were under the same ownership and as a result the content in both magazines became identical. The only difference between the two magazines once under the same ownership was the logo on the front of the magazine. TV Hebdo continued to be sold as a stand alone publication while TV 7 Jours continued to only be available in combination with 7 Jours.

TV 7 Jours pre merger with TV Hebdo

TV 7 Jours began publication on February 8, 1992 as a competitor to the well established French TV Listings magazine TV Hebdo. Unlike TV Hebdo, TV 7 Jours featured localised listings for all of Quebec and Eastern Ontario in a single edtion. TV 7 Jours was complimentary with the purchase of the regular size 7 Jours magazine and was not available as a separate purchase.

Post merger with TV Hedbo

Starting by 1996, TV Hebdo and TV 7 Jours were completely identical listings magazines with the same editorial content; the only difference being the logo on the front cover. TV Hebdo continued to be sold as an individual publication while TV 7 Jours continued to only be available as complimentary add-on to the popular 7 Jours magazine. By 1998 both TV 7 Jours and TV Hebdo were printed entirely in colour (including the listings). Each day had a different colour marker at the edge of the page for quick reference to a particular day. The four main over-the-air french networks were also designatured with individual colour bullets (SRC dark blue, TQS green, Tele-Quebec light blue and TVA in red).
